Northern Sky Raid Tools
How to use the NSRT addon to receive your raid plans in-game
What is NSRT
Northern Sky Raid Tools (NSRT) is the in-game addon that receives your exported cooldown and assignment plans. Once your raidleader copies the notes from the Setup page, every raider with the addon sees their personal reminders during the fight.

Install the addon from CurseForge. Required for all raiders to receive notes and reminders in-game.
All raiders need NSRT installed. It should work with no initial setup, but it's still recommended that you read through this page.
NSRT is created by Reloe. For support, bug reports, or feature requests, join the NSRT Discord.
Import from Wowutils to NSRT
Step 1 - Export from Wowutils
On Wowutils, export your Cooldowns + Assignments + Invite List + Group Arrangement using the Copy All Notes button on the Setup page.
If all you want is the cooldowns for a single boss, you can export them from the top left of the Cooldown page itself.
You can also click the copy button on each boss column of the Setup page to copy (or update) the import for a single boss, its CD + AS + Invite List + Group Arrangement.
Step 2 - Import in-game
In game, type /ns to open NSRT, click Shared Notes, then Import. Paste the entire string from Wowutils and click Import.
You can do the exact same thing under Personal Notes, switch to that tab and Import there instead if you want the plan to be personal to you rather than shared with the raid.
If you imported from the Setup page, NSRT will automatically section it per boss.
Step 3 - Send and manage your notes
The note actions sit along the bottom of the page.
- Select a boss from the list of your notes on the left. A blue border means selected, green means it's active and currently sent to the group.
- Select the note you want to share with the group.
- Click Load & Send (requires assist or raidleader).
Two other handy features work when you've copied from the Setup tab:
- Invite - invites all characters set to be in on the selected boss.
- Arrange - arranges your raid frames based on your group config. It can be set to update automatically from your Assignments (e.g. Chimaerous groups in raid groups 1+2 and 3+4).
The Arrange setup is configured here:
Note Display Tab
There are 3 display types:
- Red - Personal Reminders. Filtered to show only reminders for your character
- Blue - Shared Reminders. Your reminders and everyone else's reminders
- Green - Text Notes. Assignments and other readable notes
I suggest disabling Shared Reminders as they are not really useful.
If you also have a Personal Note along with the Shared one, the contents merge together. This lets you micromanage your own defensives while your raidleader handles the raid CDs. Remember to check "use personal reminders" on top of importing them.
Names will class-color when those raiders are present in your raid group.
Useful global settings
- Turn on Countdown and Hide Timers in Notes to count down timers dynamically in combat and hide a row once its timer has passed.
- Turn on Show Outside of Raid if you want to test things outside of a raid.
Reminders - In combat display
This tab is where you customise the display of your in-combat reminders. Click Preview Alerts to move things around and position them where you want.
A few Manage Reminders settings worth knowing:
- Share on Ready Check - useful for the raidleader to make sure everyone has up-to-date notes, including people who just joined or reloaded.
- Test Active Reminders - tests the currently active note, both personal and shared.
Encounter Alerts
This is a set of pre-defined text reminders for the fight, for generic things that would previously have been a WeakAura. Stuff such as "Bait" or "Spread".
It doesn't replace BigWigs/DBM, it's used in addition to them. You can customise the alerts or add more yourself. They are personal and not shared with the raid, but there is an export/import function if you want to pass them around.
You'll also find other premade components up the top, like the Interrupt Display or Runes Display used on Lura Mythic.
Common Mistakes
- Use MRT - leave this unticked unless you actually use an MRT Note (which you really shouldn't).
- TimelineReminders - if you or any of your raiders use TimelineReminders, they HAVE to toggle in TimelineReminders that they are using Northern Sky Raid Tools. Otherwise things won't work. Every individual raider with TR has to do this themselves.
