WoWUtils

Terms of Service

WowUtils is made by players, for players and their guilds. These terms say what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and where the lines are.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to everything on wowutils.com, including Viserio Cooldowns, the loot and Mythic+ tools and Curio, and to the WowUtils addon, the WowUtils Bridge desktop app and the Baldio Discord bot. Using any of them means you accept these terms. If you build on our public API, the API Terms apply on top of these. How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with Battle.net. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Group owners and admins decide who joins their group and what members can do. What someone does in a group they were let into is their responsibility, not ours.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

3. Your content

  • You own what you make. Cooldown plans, notes, assignments, rosters, wishlists and everything else you create stay yours.
  • You let us run it. You give us permission to store, copy, process and show your content as needed to run WowUtils: to you, to the groups you share it with, and to everyone when you publish a plan to the Library. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies others already made of something you published.
  • Combined statistics. You also let us combine data from across WowUtils into anonymous statistics, such as how fast groups clear a raid or how long they wait between pulls, and use them to build comparisons, improve WowUtils and share general findings. Statistics never name you, your group or any player, so they stay after the data behind them is deleted.
  • Exports are yours. Notes for NSRT, MRT strings, images and other exports are yours to use however you like.
  • Keep it clean. Do not post anything illegal, hateful or harassing, or anything that exposes other people’s private information. We may remove content that does.

4. Videos, guides and streams

Show WowUtils in videos, streams, guides and posts, including ones you earn money from. A link back is appreciated, never required.

5. Supporter plans

WowUtils is free to use, and your notes and groups are never locked behind payment. Supporter plans pay for its development and add perks. These are the only terms for them:

  • Paying. Plans are monthly or yearly, paid through Stripe. Prices and perks are on the supporter page; tax is worked out at checkout.
  • Renewing. A plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. Cancel at any time from your profile. Your perks stay until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing renews after that.
  • Something wrong? If a perk is not working, you were charged in a way you did not expect, or you need help with your plan, contact us first by email or on Discord. We usually sort it out quickly, and we can make things right where it is fair, including a refund at our discretion.
  • Refunds. Payments are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise or we choose to. If you live in the EU or UK, you may withdraw from a new plan within 14 days of your first payment by telling us, and we refund you as the law requires.
  • Payment disputes. If you dispute a payment with your bank or card provider instead of contacting us, your supporter perks pause until the dispute is settled.
  • Missed payments. If a renewal fails, perks pause until the open invoice is paid. You can pay it or cancel straight away from your profile.
  • Boosts. A plan comes with boost points you can give to the groups you are in, and move whenever you like. Points leave a group when you leave it, and when you move to a smaller plan or stop, the groups lose the points the plan no longer covers.
  • Changes to perks. Perks may change as WowUtils changes. If a change takes away something you paid for, we announce it first and you can cancel.
  • Patreon. Existing Patreon memberships keep their perks; Patreon’s own terms cover the billing.

6. Automated access

Use WowUtils however suits you, including with an AI assistant helping you. What we do not allow is collecting the site at scale, or automated traffic that puts a load on it no person would:

  • Allowed: our public API, our own apps (the WowUtils addon, WowUtils Bridge and Baldio), search engines and other crawlers that follow our robots.txt, and AI assistants you use to help you use the site yourself.
  • Not allowed: scraping or bulk copying the site or its data, with any tool or AI agent; scripts that call the site’s internal endpoints directly; automated traffic heavy enough to slow the site down; and getting around rate limits, bot protection or access checks.

You are responsible for anything that runs on your account, including an AI agent you give access to. We block traffic that breaks these rules and may close the accounts behind it. If you need data we do not offer through the API, ask us.

7. Building on our work

You are free to use WowUtils, talk about it, compare it with other tools and get inspired by it. What you may not do is use WowUtils as raw material for a competing product. That means you may not:

  • Copy our own data in bulk: boss timelines, spell and ability data, the plan Library, loot and item data, or any other dataset we put together.
  • Use WowUtils, its data or its outputs to build, train or test a competing product or service, including by recording or automating the app to reproduce how it works.
  • Copy, decompile or reverse engineer our code, or reuse our design, text or artwork.
  • Resell, mirror or republish WowUtils or substantial parts of it.

Our code, design, guides, text, artwork and datasets are ours and protected by copyright and database rights. Game content, names and imagery belong to Blizzard Entertainment. WowUtils is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard.

8. Other services

WowUtils connects to services run by others, such as Battle.net, Warcraft Logs, Discord, Stripe and Patreon, and to in-game addons made by others, such as NorthernSkyRaidTools. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for how they work.

9. Availability and changes

We keep improving WowUtils, so features change, move and sometimes go away. We do our best to keep it running but cannot promise it is always available or error-free. Plans and data you care about are worth exporting now and then.

10. Liability

WowUtils is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, or for lost data, lost loot or a lost pull. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

11. Changes to these terms

We update these terms when WowUtils changes; the date at the top shows the last change. We announce bigger changes in our news or on Discord. Using WowUtils after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Law

Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live elsewhere in the EU, the consumer protection of your own country still applies to you.
