What your raid installs

Two things your team gets out of WowUtils while you play: the cooldown plan on screen in raid, and your loot data where the loot drops, with your crests, upgrade watermarks, and vault flowing back to the site. Here is what each one needs, and who has to install it.

See loot value in game

Every raider installs the addon. It carries your team’s loot data into the game, and sends back the things the Warcraft API will never tell you. One person per guild runs the desktop app that moves it both ways.

WowUtils Addon

Our own in-game addon. It shows your team’s loot wishlists and sim results where the loot actually drops, and it reads the numbers the Warcraft API keeps to itself: crest balances, per-slot upgrade watermarks, real Great Vault contents, and Spark counts. Your group sees them on WowUtils.

What it does

WowUtils Bridge

A small desktop app that carries your team’s loot data into the game and the addon’s findings back out to WowUtils. Only one person per guild needs it: in game the addon shares both directions with everyone else in the raid.
