Audit Log

See who changed what in your group, and how long that history is kept.

What the Audit Log Is

The audit log is a running record of administrative changes in your group: who made a change, what they changed, and when. Entries are never edited or backdated, so the log is a reliable trail when you need to understand how your group reached its current state.

What Gets Recorded

Activity is grouped into eleven categories. Each category has its own color, shown as a dot next to every entry in the table. Use this as the legend for the colors you see on the page.

ColorCategoryWhat it records
AmberGroupCreate, rename, delete; settings and icon changes; ownership transfer; admin grant and revoke
VioletPermissionsMember role and permission changes
TealMembershipJoins, leaves, removals (kicks); invite links created and revoked
SkyResetsReset create, rename, duplicate, publish, delete
IndigoCooldownsCooldown note create and copy; editing sessions*
CyanAssignmentsAssignment create and copy; editing sessions*
OrangeCalendarEvents created, updated, deleted, and cancelled; bulk actions; schedules
LimeRosterRoster claims, unclaims, claim requests, approvals and rejections, admin assignments
EmeraldLootRCLootCouncil imports, clears, and date purges
RoseGuild (WCL)Guild link and unlink; report import, re-import, and ignore
PinkAPIAPI key create and revoke; API sharing on and off

* Editing sessions are recorded for boosted groups (Tier 2 and above), explained in the Editing Activity section below.

How Long History Is Kept

Your group's boost tier sets two limits: how long entries are kept, and the most entries that can be stored at once. Boosting your group extends both.

TierRetentionEvent cap
Free (Tier 1)7 days1,000 events
Tier 2 (boosted)60 days5,000 events
Tier 3 (boosted)365 days15,000 events

Entries expire once they pass the retention window. If your group is unusually busy and reaches the event cap before then, the oldest entries are removed first.

Editing Activity (Boosted Groups)

Live edits to resets, assignments, and cooldowns are recorded as well, but only for boosted groups (Tier 2 and above). A burst of rapid edits is gathered into a single entry per editing session rather than one entry per keystroke, so the log stays readable.
