Joining a Group
How to join your raid team, claim your roster spot, and import your characters
Join Your Raid Team
Your raid leader shared an invite link — here's what to do next.
Click the Invite Link
Open the invite link your raid leader shared. If you're not signed in, you'll be prompted to sign in with Battle.net — no separate account needed.
Find Your Group
After joining, go to the Groups page. You'll see the group you just joined. Click on it to open the group hub.
Claim Your Roster Spot
Go to the Roster tab and find the entry with your name. Open the menu and click Claim as mine to link your Battle.net account to that roster member.

YouCan't find your name?
If your name isn't on the roster yet, ask your raid leader to add you — or wait for the guild import to finish if it's still in progress.
Import Your Characters
After claiming, you'll see an option to Set Up Characters. This pulls your WoW characters from Battle.net and lets you mark each one as Main, Alt, or Off.
Character Setup — Choose Main / Alt / Off
Your Main gets priority in planning tools. Alts are available as backups for flexible compositions. Off characters are hidden from the roster view.
Troubleshooting
Battle.net Token Expired
If you see a "token expired" message when importing characters, click Sign in with Battle.net to refresh your session. You'll be redirected back automatically.
Characters Not Showing
Character import requires your group to have a Battle.net guild linked. If no characters appear, ask your raid leader to check the guild integration on the group's Integrations tab.
Claim Pending Approval
Some groups require admin approval for claims. If your claim shows as "pending," your raid leader needs to approve it from the Roster tab.
- Click the invite link and sign in with Battle.net
- Find your name on the Roster tab and click Claim
- Import your characters — your Main is used by default in planning, Alts are backups, Off characters are hidden
- If something isn't working, check the troubleshooting tips above or ask your raid leader
