Setting Up Your Group

Complete guide for raid leaders to create, configure, and manage a Viserio group

Last updated: February 22, 2026

Create and Configure Your Group

This guide walks you through the full setup flow as a group admin — from creating the group to inviting your team and managing the roster.

1

Create a Group

Head to the Groups page and click Create Group. Give it a name (your guild name works well). You'll automatically be the group's admin.

2

Link Your WCL Account

Go to Profile → Accounts and connect your Warcraft Logs account via OAuth. This enables guild discovery and report syncing for your group.

3

Link Your WCL Guild

Back on your group page, go to the Integrations tab. Use the guild picker to select the guild associated with your WCL account. This links reports and enables raid insights.

4

Import Your Battle.net Guild

Still on the Integrations tab, select your region, realm, and guild name to import your Battle.net guild roster. The character worker will fetch all members and their characters in the background.

5

Set Region & Realm

On the General tab, confirm your group's region and default realm. This ensures new characters are created with the correct realm by default.

6

Invite Your Team

Go to the Members tab and create an invite link. Choose an expiration (1 day to 1 year), click the copy button, and share it with your raid team on Discord.

Share this link with your raid team. It expires based on the duration you select.

Share the Joining a Group guide alongside the invite link so members know exactly what to do.

7

Manage Roster & Claims

Once members join, head to the Roster tab to manage your raid team. Members can claim their roster spot and import their characters automatically.

Roster Claim Modes

Your group supports three claim modes (configurable in Settings):

  • Self-Claim — Members click "Claim" on their roster entry and it's assigned immediately. Fastest for most teams.
  • Request Approval — Members submit a claim request that an admin approves. Useful for larger guilds with alts.
  • Admin Only — Only admins can assign members to roster entries. Full control.

Character Setup

After a member claims their roster spot and has a guild linked, they can import characters from Battle.net. The setup dialog lets them mark each character as Main, Alt, or Off (inactive):
