01Cooldown plan

Kith'ix runs a fixed 1:49 loop with Lady Liadrin at your side, then a short burn from 25%. Each loop opens with an aqir wave whose beetle pops are the heaviest healing of the fight, and closes with a 44 second storm whose fear screams are the raid DR moment. Kills reach Stage Two around 4:15, during the third wave, and end around 5:00, well before the eighth eclipse.

  1. 1Beetle wave (0:05): Voidswarm pulses the raid as the aqir land, then the Bomber Beetles are popped one at a time from 0:13 with Voidweave ticking under them.
  2. 2Extinguish and screams (0:37 and 0:43): Extinguish lands as the wave ends, then the first fear set screams outside the storm. Both heal through without raid cooldowns.
  3. 3Storm (0:57 to 1:41): Suffocating Darkness ticks for 44 seconds. Extinguish lands again at 1:19, and the second fear set screams at 1:30, a second after Abyssal Grasp.
  4. 4Repeat (1:54) repeats: The loop restarts 1:49 after the first wave, and the second storm hits harder than the first.
  5. 5Stage Two (4:15): At 25% the raid is stunned and fully healed, then eclipses hit the raid until the kill, around 5:00.
Heavy HitsBeetle waves

Voidswarm and the beetle pops after it are the densest raid damage of the fight, at 0:05 and again at 1:54. Raid healing cooldowns go here, every wave.

Raid DRScreams in the storm

The fear set inside each storm, at 1:30 and 3:19, lands a second after Abyssal Grasp on a raid the storm is already draining. Stack raid DR and personals here.

Cycle1:49 loop, burn at 25%

Waves at 0:05, 1:54 and 3:43. Stage Two starts around 4:15 and the eclipses run about 45 seconds to the kill, so cooldowns held from the third wave are spent there.

Personal defensives

Everyone plans a personal on each Digestive Juices string, in its back half as the acid stacks peak: from 0:18 in the first wave and from 2:07 in the second, which runs straight into the 2:26 Extinguish and is the bigger of the two. Add one on the screams inside each storm, 1:30 and 3:19. If you are late to Liadrin's motes (the yellow orbs) and miss Light's Embrace, use a strong personal and be topped off before the Extinguish lands: you can live the full hit that way, and players who take it low die. In Stage Two personals go on the middle eclipses from 4:34 as Nullify ticks build, but no defensive survives the stack cap.

Add Spawn, Raid AOE

Danger: High
Plan around this

Kith'ix opens every loop by pulsing Shadow damage on the whole raid for 6 seconds while the aqir wave spawns. The beetle pops follow straight after with Voidweave under them, and together they make the fight's heaviest healing window.

Waves land at 0:05, 1:54 and 3:43, 1:49 apart.

  • 2 minute cooldowns: 0:05, then 2:05 in the second wave's pops, then Stage Two.
  • 90 second cooldowns: every wave.
  • 3 minute cooldowns: the first wave, then Stage Two.

The second wave is the heavier one, so a cooldown that can only cover one wave belongs there. On a kill Stage Two starts before the third wave's beetles pop, so that wave is lighter and anything held from it carries into the eclipses.

Raid DOT

Danger: High
Plan around this

Each Bomber Beetle that reaches a player, or runs out its timer, bursts and coats the whole raid in a stacking 4 second acid. The raid pops them one at a time from 0:13 and 2:02, three in the first wave and four in the second, about every 5 seconds. These pops are the largest share of Stage One healing.

Each pop stacks onto the acid of the last, so the window peaks a few pops in, not at Voidswarm. Lead on Voidswarm and the first pop, then keep a cooldown or two for the back half of the string. Coverage that lasts beats stacking everything at the start.

Personals go in the back half of each string, where the stacks peak, so the healing cooldowns are not carrying everyone alone.

Dispel, Raid Damage

Danger: High
Plan around this

Marks a healer, a melee and a ranged player, who turn into Overwhelming Fear 6 seconds later. Each fear, dispelled or expired, screams for raidwide damage that falls off with distance, so they are dispelled one at a time, away from the raid. Four sets in Stage One: 0:43 and 2:32 outside the storm, 1:30 and 3:19 inside it.

Inside the storm the screams land on a raid already ticking down, a second after Abyssal Grasp ties up healing on several players, so DR carries this moment instead of healing. Press it just before the fears land; the screams spread over a few seconds as the dispels go out. The sets outside the storm heal through without cooldowns.

  • 90 second DR: both storm sets, then the late eclipses.
  • 2 and 3 minute DR: 1:30 and Stage Two, or the 3:19 set alone.

The 3:19 set sits in the heavier storm, so it takes the bigger share when you have the choice.

Suffocating DarknessSuffocating Darkness

Raid AOE, Raid DOT

Danger: High
Plan around this

At 100 energy Kith'ix calls a storm that closes in and ticks Shadow damage on everyone every second for 44 seconds, until Liadrin's Divine Radiance clears it. Her barrier slows it, so the raid holds close to her; anyone caught in it is pacified and slowed. Eclipse Fragments drift toward Liadrin through it and are caught by players, who take a stacking dot. Each storm ticks harder than the last.

Storms run 0:57 to 1:41 and 2:46 to 3:30. The opening is the lightest stretch. The back half stacks caught fragments, the second Abyssal Grasp and the screams, and the raid never gets a moment to top up. DR belongs to the screams; a spare healing cooldown fits right after them, with the raid at its lowest. Far more fragments are caught in the second storm. Movement cooldowns fit each opening as the raid moves in to Liadrin.

Phase Change

Danger: High
Plan around this

At 25% Stygian Howl stuns the raid, then Liadrin's Last Light fully heals everyone and boosts their healing for the rest of the fight. From 4:17 an eclipse hits the whole raid every 8.6 seconds, and the raid wipes on the eighth, at 5:18. Kills land around 5:00, after the fifth or sixth.

Healing cooldowns pressed just before 25% are wasted by the full heal, so hold them for the eclipses. Lead with one or two on the first eclipses, then keep them rolling instead of stacking them all at the start. Nullify stacks build behind the hits and the raid sits lower with each eclipse, so raid DR goes from the third, at 4:34, with the most on the fifth and sixth, at 4:52 and 5:00. A 90 second DR used on the 3:19 screams is back for those.
ExtinguishExtinguish

Raid AOE

Danger: Medium
Plan around this

A Shadow shockwave on the whole raid at the end of a long cast, at 0:37 and 1:19, then 2:26 and 3:08. Light's Embrace from Liadrin's motes takes most of it and the hit strips it; a player without it takes the full hit.

With Light's Embrace up the raid heals through it. The one to watch is 2:26, right behind the second wave's pops: anyone low there wants a personal. Movement cooldowns in the back half of each wave, into the cast, help the raid reach the motes in time.

Miss the motes and the full hit is survivable only behind a strong personal on full health. Late soakers should press it before the cast ends.

Other boss mechanics

VoidweaveVoidweaveRaid DOT

Voidweavers channel Shadow on random players from the wave's spawn until they die, ticking under the beetle pops and carrying the third wave on their own.

Abyssal GraspAbyssal GraspHealing Absorb

Tendrils grab several players and absorb their incoming healing; heal it off within 8 seconds or they are dragged into the darkness. Twice per storm, at 1:02 and 1:29, then 2:51 and 3:18; the second lands a second before the fear screams.

Null GateNull GateDebuffs, Movement

Throughout Stage Two a few players at a time are focused, and 5 seconds later a gate tears open where they stand and throws out shards. Gates and shards stack Nullify, which kills at its cap, so focused players take the gate away from the raid and everyone dodges the shards. Nullify stacks are what kill players in Stage Two.

Unspeakable Horrors lands on three players every wave, always one melee, one ranged and one healer. Dispels trigger raid damage, so stagger them to spread the damage.

Dispel the healer the moment it becomes dispellable. Dispel the melee when healthy. Dispel the ranged when safe, or let it run out.

Assign one dispeller per row.
