Update

Written by Penkek

The last two weeks carried a lot of work that never made it into a release post. This is the catch-up list, grouped by where it lives. The two biggest items got their own posts today: the in-game addon and desktop app going public, and the new bonus roll targets.

Finding your way around a group

  • The sidebar shows every page. Loot, Roster Report, Guild Bank, Calendar, Logs and Settings now expand into their own named pages in the group sidebar, so you go straight to Payouts or Insights instead of landing on a section and hunting for the right tab. Old links and bookmarks still land where they used to.
  • Members show when they were last around. The members list carries recent activity, so you can tell an active account from a dormant one.
  • A group whose owner vanished can be claimed. An admin can open an ownership claim in the Danger Zone; it runs a countdown that every admin sees before ownership moves.

Loot

  • Owned items. A new Loot view lists who on the roster already owns an item and on which track, or flips to a per-raider ledger of what each character has picked up.
  • Droptimizer slots say what was imported. A filled slot labels itself with the difficulty and item level of the sim that was actually uploaded, and warns when that doesn't match what the group asked for. The report link also stays in the box after an import, so pulling a second character from the same report is one paste less.
  • Wishlist CSV export covers more. Crest and off-spec rows are included, and a new switch adds the characters who never made a wishlist, so a splits sheet covers the whole roster.
  • Big loot-history imports finish. A large CSV import no longer times out partway.
  • The spec switcher sticks and explains itself. It now sits next to the character picker it belongs to, says what switching a spec does, and remembers your choice. Sims also show for the spec you actually simmed, even when your roster spec is set to something else.

Setups and planning

  • Lock several cells at once. Shift or ctrl-click roster cells in a setup, then lock the whole selection in or out with one action; the menu shows the I / O / U shortcuts.
  • Auto-build asks before it runs. Building a comp now lets you pick which players it may draw from and previews how heavy the run will be before it starts.
  • Plan counts are honest. The per-boss plan counter no longer double-counts plans made in your active group, and the create button respects your actual tier limit instead of a wrong shared cap.
  • Timeline reads cleaner. Ability duration bars stop at the phase line instead of overhanging into the next phase, and boss ability tooltips show the time since that ability's last cast.
  • Season 2 cooldown examples are in. Supporter example plans now cover The Venomous Abyss on Heroic, with the first Mythic examples too. Vash'nik also sits before The Lost Explorers, matching the raid.
  • Pack owners can edit their packs. If you published a library pack, you can now edit its title, description and tags from the pack page.

Recruiting and permissions

  • Recruiting has its own permissions. Viewing, reviewing and deciding applications and editing recruiting settings are four separate keys, so a recruiter no longer needs roster-editing rights. Existing grants were carried over.
  • Raid languages on the team page. A team can list the languages it raids in, shown on its public page, and the guild directory on wowutils.com can filter by them.

Discord and news

  • One Add post flow. The Discord integrations page collapses its five separate setup buttons into one flow: say what you want posted, answer only what that choice needs, and pick roles by name.
  • News by product. The news archive can be filtered by channel: the site, Baldio, the in-game software, or the API.

In your language

  • Korean, Russian, and Chinese catalogs refreshed. Both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, with large parts of the app newly covered.

On wowutils.com

  • The whole site runs Season 2. The Great Vault simulator, the M+ loot calculator and the loot guides were rebuilt around The Venomous Abyss and the new dungeon pool.
  • A new homepage. wowutils.com opens on the current tier, maps every tool on the site, and shows the latest news from here.
  • Patreon supporters get Legendary. A Patreon pledge now grants the Legendary supporter tier, same as the other channels.

Coming up

Curio, our splits planner, is open again while we update it for Season 2; another batch of changes lands tomorrow. Autoassign, which fills assignment blocks for you, arrives on Sunday.

As always, feedback and ideas are welcome in Discord or on the Community page.
