Event posts were the last part of the Baldio setup still done in Discord. They move to the website in this release, along with a way to send different raid nights to different channels.
Event posts and schedule posts
Open the Integrations section of your group and go to Channels. Two buttons at the bottom point Baldio at a channel, and every posting row on a card now has an edit and a stop.
- Post events. Keeps your next raids posted in one channel and updates each post as people sign up.
- Post a schedule. Does the same for one of your calendar schedules, so a team that raids on two schedules can give each one its own channel.
- How many, and the setup image. Pick between 1 and 10 raids to keep posted, and whether the setup image goes on every post or only the first.
- Schedule names stay current. Renaming a schedule on the Calendar page updates the card, instead of leaving the name it had when it was set up.
Stopping a schedule's posts leaves the ones already in Discord where they are, and they are no longer cleaned up when their raid passes, so remove any you do not want.
The four calendar commands still work, and will be removed once the web version has had some time.
One channel per raid night
A team that raids Tuesday and Thursday often wants those nights in different places, and until now every post from one calendar went to the same channel.
- Days it posts on. Each event post and schedule post can be limited to certain weekdays. Point one at a channel for Tuesdays, another at a channel for Thursdays, and each channel only gets its own nights.
- The count still means posts. Two raids on a Tuesday-only channel means the next two Tuesdays, not the next two raids of any kind.
- Leave it alone and nothing changes. Pick no days and it posts every raid, which is what everything already set up keeps doing.
Around the app
- Reminders can be edited. Change the kind, the lead time or the roles it pings without removing it first. It keeps track of the raids it has already pinged about, so nobody gets a repeat.
- Every change is in the Audit Log. Setting up, changing and stopping Baldio's posts all show who did it and when.
As always, feedback and ideas are welcome in Discord.
