v5.21.0: In-game raidplan popups from your assignments

Feature

14 July 2026

Written by Viserio

The Raidstrats addon can pop your raidplan up in game, right when it matters. You can now set it up from the assignments: place timed cues on the boss timeline, and during the pull the plan appears in combat with each player's own spot highlighted.

An in-combat screenshot during the Lura fight: a compact raidplan view pops up mid-screen showing player positions, with each raider's own spot marked.

What the Raidstrats addon does

Raidstrats.gg is the raidplanning tool we already integrate with, so you can link a raidplan to any assignment. Its in-game addon takes that a step further: it displays a simple version of a raidplan inside the game, on a timer, and highlights where you personally need to be. No alt-tabbing to a browser mid-pull.

It rides on Northern Sky Raid Tools (NSRT), the same note addon your assignment notes already use. The cue instructions live in that note, so there is nothing new to paste beyond what you already do.

What's new: cues from your assignments

You can now author those cues directly on an assignment:

  • Timed popups. Drop cue timers on the boss timeline for the moments the plan should appear. Each cue picks which scene of the raidplan it opens and how long it stays up.
  • Personal highlight. "Display for assigned, with self highlight" shows the plan only to assigned players and highlights each person's own position. Want the whole raid to see it? Switch that cue to "Display for all".
  • A look before the pull. Beyond the timed cues, the addon also shows each player their assigned raidplan position during a ready check, so everyone can confirm where they're going before combat starts.
  • Target specific rows. In assigned mode you can pick exactly which assignment rows a cue is for, so a left-side cue only fires for the left group.
  • Stays in sync. Because it maps off your assignment slots, swapping a player moves the highlight to whoever fills the spot now. You only need to reimport raidplans when you change the actual raidplan.
  • Ready-made on some fights. We've pre-authored default cue timers on a handful of Mythic assignments (listed below), so they work out of the box. Edit them any time, or reset back to the defaults.

When you copy the assignment note to NSRT as usual, the cue lines are appended automatically at the end. Nothing else about your note-copying workflow changes.

Ready-made, and bring your own

We've placed default cue timers on these Mythic assignments, so you don't have to author them yourself. Open any of them on Mythic and the timers are already on the timeline (edit or reset them any time):

  • Midnight Falls (Lura): Intermission Spreads, P2 Galvanize Soaks, P2 Spread Positions, P3 Light Siphon Soak Groups, and P3 Positions.
  • Lightblinded Vanguard: Execution Sentence Soaks.

One catch: the timers are placed for you, but they stay dormant until you open the tab and enable the feature for the boss, so nothing reaches your note until you do (see Where to find it below).

You are not limited to these. It works with any raidplan of your own: link your raidplan to an assignment on the Raidplan tab, then open the RSGG addon cues tab and set your own timers on the timeline. From there it behaves exactly like the ready-made ones.

What it needs

  • The Raidstrats addon, installed by each raider. Available on the Raidstrats addon page, CurseForge, and Wago. Anyone without it simply sees nothing extra, so it is safe to roll out gradually.
  • Northern Sky Raid Tools (NSRT). The note carrier, same as your other assignment reminders.
  • A linked raidplan. Add a raidstrats.gg raidplan to the assignment first (the Raidplan tab), then set cues on it.
  • Every raider imports the plan. A popup can only show a plan each person has imported. From the RSGG addon cues tab you can fetch and copy the plan's import string. In game, type /rsgg, open the Plan Library, choose Import Plan, and paste. The fastest way to reach the whole raid is Share to Group in game, which sends it to everyone at once. Re-import after you change the plan on raidstrats.gg.

Where to find it

On any assignment that has a raidstrats.gg raidplan linked, click the new RSGG Addon button (marked Beta) in the assignment's toolbar, next to Edit and Resync.

An assignment toolbar with Edit, Resync, and a highlighted RSGG Addon (Beta) button, with an arrow pointing to it.

That opens the RSGG addon cues tab. It walks you through the steps, previews the exact lines that get added to your note, and shows a live scene preview as you set each timer.

The RSGG addon cues tab: an enable toggle, export buttons, a timeline of cue timers across the fight's phases, per-timer scene and display settings, and a live scene preview of the raidplan.

Predefined cues still need to be turned on. Even on the fights we ship ready-made timers for, the cues are only added to your exported note once you open this tab and click Enable RSGG Addon for this boss (it turns green when on). Until then the timers are placed but dormant.

Beta, and we want your feedback

We've tested the addon and this feature ourselves, but it is still in Beta, and real raids will surface things we didn't. We would genuinely appreciate your feedback:

  • Feedback on this implementation (the cues, the tab, anything that feels off) goes to our Discord.
  • Feedback on the Raidstrats addon itself goes to the Raidstrats Discord.

Big thanks to the Raidstrats team for the integration. Give it a run on your next pull and let us know how it feels.
