The start of this tier has been incredible. More raid teams than ever are using WoWUtils to plan their cooldowns, assignments, and strategies, and we've been blown away by the support from the community. Thank you.
With that growth came growing pains. Some of you experienced slower load times, intermittent errors, or pages not loading during peak hours. We've spent the past weeks focused on making the site faster and more reliable for everyone. Nevertheless, we still encountered issues tonight, so we've gone a step further and made some more drastic changes to ensure the site is as reliable as possible.
Faster Page Loads
We've reworked how the site loads your data so that pages feel snappier. Navigating between bosses, switching groups, and loading your assignments should all be noticeably quicker.
Better Stability Under Load
Peak raid-night traffic was pushing our servers harder than expected. We've made significant changes to handle the load more gracefully, so the timeouts and errors some of you ran into during busy hours should be a thing of the past.
Smoother Updates
Some of you saw "page crashed" errors that were solved by a simple reload. The site now handles version changes seamlessly in the background, so you shouldn't need to manually reload after we push fixes.
Improved Error Pages
On the rare occasion something does go wrong, the error page is now cleaner and more helpful. A one-click report button copies the details to your clipboard and takes you straight to our Discord, making it easy to let us know what happened.
Server Upgrades
We've upgraded our infrastructure across the board to better handle the traffic we're seeing as the community grows. These are changes you won't notice directly, but they add up to a smoother experience overall.
