v5.71.0: Loot History from the desktop app

Feature

•

Written by Penkek

Loot History now fills itself after each raid: with Send loot history on in the WowUtils desktop app, your RCLootCouncil awards reach the site without anyone pasting an export. Your account also gets one name your team sees everywhere, and a profile that shows what's left to set up.

Loot History from the desktop app

Loot History only held what an officer pasted from an RCLootCouncil export, so it was as current as the last paste.

The desktop app's Raid groups page: a group ticked for the game, with Send loot history ticked under it and 24 awards sent 2h ago
  • Send loot history. Tick it on your group in the desktop app's Raid groups page. Once you log out or reload after the raid, the night's awards show up in Loot History, Upgrade values included.
  • Who can turn it on. Anyone allowed to import loot history for the group, on a group their app already sends to the game. One officer is enough: the app sends the awards from the raids that officer was in.
  • Each award once. Awards sent by several officers, or also pasted by hand, still show once.
  • Your roster only. Awards to characters outside your roster stay out.
  • First sync. It brings in this raid tier and the one before. Older awards still come in through a paste.
  • Re-awards and deletions. When your loot master re-awards an item or deletes a recent award in RCLootCouncil, that award stays in Loot History and waits for an admin to remove or keep it.

Removed in RCLC. Manage loot history counts the awards waiting for an admin's review.

Remove or keep. Review lists each award with its winner. An admin removes it from Loot History or keeps it, and can put any removed award back.

Your account

Teammates used to see your BattleTag with its number, and your profile spread its settings over tabs.

  • One name everywhere. Pick the name your team sees: in the top bar, on the roster spot you make when you join, while you edit plans together, and on your Library notes. It starts as your BattleTag without the number.
  • To do. Your profile opens on what's left: linking Discord, installing the WowUtils addon, choosing your name. A dot on your account button shows while something is open, and Not now hides it for 30 days.
  • Settings by topic. Everything else sits under Profile, Connections, In game and Account.
  • Getting started. Signing in with no team asks how you'll plan: join your guild's team with an invite link, start your own, or plan on your own.
  • Start from your guild. When you set up a team, the guild step lists the guilds your characters are in. One pick links it and puts you on the roster with that character as your main.
  • Same menu on wowutils.com. The account button looks and works the same on every page of the site.

Baldio

Two changes for teams that post raid nights and reminders in Discord.

  • Reminders per channel. A reminder now has a Remind about choice: This channel's raids or All raids. With one channel per raid night, each night's channel gets its own reminder. New reminders in a channel that posts raid nights start on This channel's raids; the ones you already have stay on All raids.
  • The next raid posts on time. Once a raid night's post comes down after the raid, Baldio posts the next night right away instead of hours later.

Around the app

  • Linking accounts. Linking Discord, Warcraft Logs or Patreon always brings you back to the site with a message saying whether it worked, instead of a page of raw text when something went wrong.
  • Link Warcraft Logs buttons. The ones on Stats, Raid Insights and the roster go straight to Warcraft Logs and bring you back to where you were.
  • Kith'ix timings. The default start of Stage Two is now 4:15 on Mythic and 3:20 on Heroic.

As always, feedback and ideas are welcome in Discord or on the Community page.
