v5.39.0: The You page, rebuilt

Feature

Written by Penkek

You was a tab inside your group hub. It is now its own page, You in the sidebar under Plan, and the whole thing has been rebuilt around the two jobs a raider actually has: turn up on the night, and keep your characters in order. Old links to the hub tab land on the new page.

The You page, with the next raid night and its assignments on the left and the character ledger on the right

The night ahead

The left side stages your next raid night. The bosses of that night sit at the top, and clicking one draws your own assignments underneath, the same way the raid sheet draws them, so you can read your job without opening anything.

  • The rest of the reset underneath. The plan's other nights list what you are slotted on, or say you are sitting that one out.
  • What your team needs from you. Your officers' message and their tasks for the week sit under the night.
  • Signups and time away in the same column. Answer the upcoming nights, and add a holiday once to be signed off every night in that range, including nights added later.

Your characters, three ways

Every character you play is one list, and the tabs above it change what each row says.

The Week tab of the character ledger, with vault, sim, request and gear icons on each character row
  • Week. Four marks per character: Great Vault, sims, boss requests, gear upkeep. Green is done, amber is partly, dim means there is nothing to do or nothing known yet. Nothing on this row turns red, none of it is an error.
  • Gear. Missing enchants, empty sockets, slots with no socket added, and how many free upgrades the character is sitting on. On a wide screen, crests too.
  • Loot. Your bonus roll pick, the bosses you have asked in on, and how many items are on that character's wishlist.

Hover any mark for the reading behind it: which vault slots are unlocked and how many your officers expect, which sims are missing or stale, which slot is missing an enchant.

Your roster, your order

  • Drag rows to order them. Your main stays pinned at the top.
  • Main, alt, inactive, gone. The menu on a row sets its status, opens its specs and off-specs, or removes it. Inactive characters fold away behind one line.
  • Add the rest of them. Import from WoW lists every character on your account with its item level, and you pick which ones join the roster and how they count.
The row overflow menu open, with Specs and off-specs, Mark as alt, Mark inactive and Remove character The Import Characters dialog listing characters from the Battle.net account with Main, Alt, Off and Skip choices

What your officers ask for

Officers set what the week's marks judge against: how many vault slots each character should bank, and whether enchants, gems and sockets are expected. Sockets are off unless they turn them on, and the sims mark only goes amber for a guild that asks for fresh sims.

Vault slots and crests read from the game, so they fill in once someone in your guild runs the WowUtils addon and Bridge.
