v5.20.0: Note version history

Update

One headline feature this release: cooldown notes now keep an automatic version history, so a wrong change or an accidental delete is no longer forever.

Note version history

A cooldown note is a lot of careful work, and until now a mistake had no undo once everyone had left the note. Now every note keeps its own history, for every group, no supporter tier required.

  • Browse past versions as the real note. Version history has its own button in the note's toolbar and opens full screen: pick a version from the list and the note renders exactly as it was, in your own layout, read-only. No guessing from a text summary.
  • Every version says what changed. Each entry shows when it was saved and the edits it holds, so you can find "the version before the assignments got moved" without opening each one.
  • Restore without losing your current note. Bring back an older version in a click. Nothing is deleted; your current version is saved to the history first, so you can always step back to it.
  • Saved on its own, even mid-raid. A version is captured whenever everyone leaves a note, and long sessions get regular auto-saves along the way. There is no save button to remember, and a crash mid-night doesn't cost you the plan.
Version history open on a cooldown note: a read-only preview of an older version with the version list on the right
