v5.7.0: AutoComp takes your feedback

Update

28 June 2026

Written by Penkek

AutoComp shipped last week. You ran it across a few resets and told us where it got your raid wrong. This release is that feedback worked back in: more of the calls are yours to set, the cases where it stranded a player are fixed, and the deep rosters that made it crawl now solve faster.

The calls you wanted to make yourself

AutoComp balances your comp on its own, but a lot of you came back with the same note: it can't know the calls only you make. So this is where the boss runs two healers, where a player has sat the bench one week too many, where a trial wants in. Now you can set them, on the Curio settings of your planning page.

  • Run the healers and tanks you want. Tell AutoComp to put exactly two healers or one tank on a specific boss, and target a melee or ranged split for the rest, instead of letting it pick the mix.
  • Share the bench fairly. When your roster's deeper than the raid has spots, AutoComp rotates who sits, so the same few players don't ride the bench every week.
  • Honor who wants in. Turn this on and a player's "want in" on a boss outranks squeezing in one more raid buff.
  • Keep players on their main role. Your DPS don't get pushed onto a tank alt and your tanks don't end up on DPS, unless the comp genuinely needs the swap.
  • Lock the comp, fill the rest. Lock everyone you've already placed in one click, then run AutoComp to fill only the empty seats.

The cases where it got stuck

A few of you hit a comp that didn't quite work, or a player who came out of the solve without a full vault. Those are the ones this round went after.

  • No more stranded vaults. AutoComp won't leave a player short of a full vault when there's still a seat that fits them.
  • An "out" really means out. Marking a player out of a boss now sits their alts too, instead of quietly seating one of their other characters in the same spot.

A straight read on vaults

After a solve, AutoComp now tells you how many of your players reach a full vault this week. When not everyone can, it says why instead of leaving you to guess: your tanks, healers, and key buff-givers have to be in on every boss, and that only leaves so many open seats to spread around.

Faster on deep rosters

The more alts your roster carries, the more AutoComp had to weigh, and the longer you waited on a solve. That's the part we put time into. A big, alt-heavy roster that used to leave you watching the spinner comes back quicker now.
