v5.42.1: Timer updates

Update

Written by Viserio

The second batch of week one re-timings is in, as promised.

Nek'zali's intermission is now two phases

Killing the first Echo of Jawae cancels every timer in the Ritual of Awakening and starts the same script over against the second Echo. The old timeline averaged that reset away, so anything you placed in the back half of the intermission was sitting on a timer that moved up to 20 seconds from pull to pull.

Heroic Nek'zali now has a second intermission line, Second Echo, exported as ph:1.75. Both halves run the same ladder off their own Soul Transfer cast: Hungering Pyre 18 and 58 seconds in, Restless Amani at 47.

  • Your placed cooldowns should be fine. The casts themselves did not change, only how the timeline models them.
  • Re-export your note. The second half of the intermission now emits ph:1.75, so NSRT and Talented Reminders need the new version to phase correctly.
  • The new line is gated on your own kill speed. Live kills reached it between 64 and 97 seconds into the intermission, so drag it to your second Soul Transfer.
  • The intermission's Soul Transfer bar now draws the Echo's 15 second channel instead of Summoner Jawae's 8 second cast, so it ends where the ladder actually starts.
  • The Hungering Pyre soak block is repointed at the new timers.
  • Mythic gets the same line, but nobody has logged a mythic kill yet, so its position is a placeholder until they do.

Timers moved onto the hit

Some timers were marking the cast while the damage arrived seconds later. If your cooldowns sit on these, recheck them.

  • Nek'zali the Soulcoiler (Heroic). Possession Barrage now marks when the damage lands, and Corpse Blight is drawn as the real rot windows after each add pack dies, four of them in Stage Two.
  • Entombed Sentinels (Heroic). Unstable Miasma now marks the raid burst about 9 seconds after the cast starts, and the late tank hits in the third and fourth phases moved a few seconds earlier.

More live measurements

  • The Lost Explorers (Heroic). The fish throw phase lines are re-measured from 38 live kills, and their tooltips now show what a typical raid pushes at next to what the fastest kills manage.
  • Nymrissa Wavecaller (Heroic and Mythic). Murloc wave spawn timers are on the timeline, two waves per cycle.

Ula'tek assignments

Heroic Ula'tek gets her first two assignment blocks, both with a matching group arrangement so the setup page can build your raid groups straight from them.

  • P2 Group Split. A left and a right half, 15 each, reminded at 2:45 as the second stage starts.
  • Serpent's Bite Soaks. Left, front and right groups of 10, reminded 5 seconds after each set of debuffs lands in the third stage.

Group arrangements live in the Raidframe Group Arrangement window on the boss row of your setup, and they sort your raid groups to match who you put in each side. Pick one there, then import your notes in game with /ns reminders and click Arrange to sort your raidframes.

If egg carriers turn out to be worth assigning on Heroic, they get a block later. Ula'tek's timers still come from Normal kills, so these times will be adjusted once Heroic kills are logged.
