v5.30.0: Raid reminders on the website, and a warning when the bot cannot post

Update
Discord bot

3 August 2026

Written by Penkek

Raid reminders are the second part of the Discord bot setup to move to the website. Open the Integrations section of your group and go to Channels: every channel card now has an Add reminder button, and every reminder already on it has a remove.

Reminders

Removing a reminder from Discord has been unreliable for a while, so some teams have been stuck with pings they could not stop. Removing one from the card works, and the bot stops posting it within a few minutes.

  • Two kinds. A signup reminder pings people on your roster who have not signed up yet. A pre-raid warning pings people whose sim is out of date.
  • Lead time. Anywhere from 1 to 24 hours before the raid, the same options the bot offers in Discord.
  • Roles to ping. Pick as many of your server's roles as you want, or none, in which case the reminder still posts but pings nobody. Picked roles carry their Discord colour, so they match your member list.
  • Changing one is a remove and an add. There is no edit. Note that a reminder you add back starts fresh, so it can ping again about a raid it had already covered.

The three reminder commands still work, and will be removed once the web version has had some time.

Event posts and schedules are still read-only on these cards and still set up in Discord. They move over next.

When Baldio cannot post

Baldio needs permission to see a channel and to post in it. If those permissions changed after the channel was set up, everything pointed at it stopped without saying so: the card still listed the channel, the bot still had a job for it, and nothing arrived in Discord. The Channels view now checks.

  • Every channel card says whether Baldio can still post there. A channel it cannot reach is marked on the card, along with the permission to give back.
  • A banner when posts are failing. It counts the affected channels and points at the cards. Nothing shows while everything is fine.
  • Channels Baldio cannot use are greyed out in the picker. They stay in the list with the reason next to them, so a missing channel reads as a permission to fix rather than a channel that vanished.
  • Last posted. Event posts, schedules, and reminders show when they last went out, so a card that has gone quiet is easy to spot.

If Discord does not answer when the page loads, the cards say the check did not run. They never report a problem you do not have.

As always, feedback and ideas are welcome in Discord.
