Last release made your Discord bot setup readable on the website. This one makes the first part of it editable. Open the Integrations section of your group, go to Channels, and you can point the changes feed at a channel or stop it there.
The changes feed
The changes feed posts roster and plan changes into a Discord channel as they happen.
- Turn it on for a channel. Pick one from your server's text channels. New activity starts posting within a few minutes. Changes from before you turned it on are not posted.
- Turn it off from the card. The feed is listed on the channel card with everything else that posts there. Stopping it leaves the rest running.
- One per team. A server running two teams can send each team's changes to its own channel, and stopping one does not touch the other.
The subscribe-group-changes and unsubscribe-group-changes commands still work, and will be removed once the web version has had some time.
Event posts, schedules, and reminders are still read-only on these cards and still set up in Discord. They move over in the coming releases.
Scheduled posts recover on their own
Last release noted that a scheduled setup post which hits an error stops and stays stopped. That fix has landed.
- A quiet week is not an error. If your team has nothing planned yet, the post is skipped and the schedule keeps running. This was the most common way a weekly post died.
- Errors retry. A failed post keeps its schedule and tries again the following week, giving up only after four weeks of failures, with the reason shown in Activity.
- Posts that already stopped are running again. Scheduled posts that died this way have been switched back on and will run at their next scheduled time.
