This cycle was about getting you going faster and finding answers when you're stuck. As Midnight Season 1 rolls on, we added a guided first-time setup for new teams and rewrote the help center, guides, and FAQ so it's easier to find an answer and trust that it's current.
A guided first-time setup
Creating a group used to drop you into a checklist that sent you off to a different settings tab for each step: you linked your guild in one place, set your realm in another, and added raid times in a third. New teams spent more time hunting for the right screen than setting up.
- One page that does the work. When you create a group, a first-time setup walks you through it in order: link your guild, set your realm, sync your roster, connect Warcraft Logs, set your raid times, and invite your team, each one done right on the page instead of sending you off to find a settings tab.
- It fills in what it already knows. Once your guild is linked, the page knows the region and realm your guild plays on, so setting your group's default is a single confirm.
- Players who join get their own version. A raider who joins from your invite link claims their spot, syncs their characters, and marks which nights they can raid, all from the same page.
Help Center
Answers used to be scattered between separate guide and information pages, so finding the right one meant knowing where to look first.
- One place to search. Guides and FAQ now live behind a single Help Center with search across all of it, so you type what you're stuck on instead of guessing the page.
- Clear starting points. Shortcuts up top take you straight to the common first steps: setting up your group, planning cooldowns, auditing your raid, and getting your plan in-game.
- Boss and spell references too. Per-boss strategy and per-spell cooldown notes sit alongside the guides, so the reference material is one click from the how-to.
Clearer guides and FAQ
Plenty of guides had drifted behind the app as features moved and got renamed.
- Rewritten to match what you see now. Guides and FAQ entries were updated to the current screens and names, so the steps match the buttons actually in front of you.
- Less jargon. We cut the engineer-speak where it crept in and wrote in the terms raid leaders use.
Tell us what didn't click
Yes, part of this update is a news post about our news posts, which got a fresh coat of paint too. The point of all of it is to answer your question before you have to ask. So here's the ask in return.
When you read a guide or an FAQ entry and still walked away unsure, that gap is the single most useful thing you can send us. Things like:
- "I read this part, but I still didn't know how to do X."
- "This section didn't really make sense to me."
- "I expected an answer about Y here and couldn't find one."
Every one of those points us straight at what to fix or write next. Send them our way in Discord or on the Community page.
Around the app
- The heatmap shows the metric you picked. The cooldown heatmap now loads with the metric you selected, instead of occasionally opening on a different one.
As always, feedback and ideas are welcome in Discord or on the Community page.
