v4.4.0: Loot Wishlist

10 March 2026

Penkek

Loot distribution has always been one of the hardest parts of raid leading. Spreadsheets get stale, Discord threads get buried, and nobody remembers who actually needs what by the time the boss dies. We built the Loot Wishlist to fix that.

This is also a prerequisite for Curio v2.0.0 — the next major version of our split optimizer. Curio 2.0 will consume wishlist and Droptimizer data directly, so getting your group's loot preferences in now means you'll be ready when it drops.

Personal Wishlists

Every raider can now create a personal loot wishlist for each of their characters. Browse every item from the current raid and M+ pool, filtered to only show items your class and spec can actually use.

For each item, set a priority:

  • Best in Slot — this is the dream drop
  • Big Upgrade — significant improvement over what you have
  • Minor Upgrade — nice to have, but not essential
  • Catalyst Only — only want this for tier conversion
  • Pass — explicitly don't want it

You can also add notes to any selection to explain your reasoning, and pick the difficulty you want the item from.

Items can be sorted by boss or by gear slot, so you can plan your wishlist however makes sense to you.

Droptimizer Integration

Upload your Raidbots simulation data and see exactly how much DPS each item is worth to you. The system supports multiple difficulty profiles with different upgrade levels, so you can compare base ilvl vs. fully upgraded items across Normal, Heroic, and Mythic.

Sort by DPS gain to instantly see which bosses matter most for your character. Your sim data syncs with your wishlist, so raid leaders can see both your priorities and your numbers side by side.

M+ loot tracking is also supported — keep tabs on vault-relevant items alongside your raid wishlist.

Group Overview

Raid leaders and officers can see the full picture from the Group Overview. All member wishlists are aggregated into a single view, filterable by member, boss, or slot.

See at a glance how many people want a specific item and at what priority. No more asking around mid-pull — it's all there.

Submission Tracking

The Submissions view shows which roster members have submitted their Droptimizer data and whether it's up to date. Main/alt filtering is built in, so you can focus on the characters that matter. Stale submissions are flagged automatically based on your group's configured freshness threshold.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed item level calculation for 2H weapon users. The gear tab's average item level was incorrect for characters using two-handed weapons (Hunters, Death Knights, Arms Warriors, etc.) — the empty off-hand slot was being counted as 0 instead of using the main-hand value for both slots, as WoW does. Average item levels now match the Armory.

What's Next

We're continuing to iterate on the loot tools. If you have feedback or ideas, drop them in Discord.
