The Midnight prepatch brings significant changes to how we handle cooldown notes and in-game displays. Here's everything you need to know.
What's Gone?
- Kaze WeakAura - The Kaze WA will no longer work after prepatch
- MRT Notes (mostly) - MRT still exists, but we don't really need it anymore for cooldown notes
What's New!
Northern Sky Raid Tools
Northern Sky Raid Tools (/NS) is replacing the purpose of the Kaze WA and MRT Note, giving us a nice upgrade!
New Features on WowUtils
- New CD Export Format - More settings per spell (Alt + Right Click a cooldown to access)
- Copy All Notes Button - On the Setup page, copy everything for the raid night in a single copy: CDs, Assignments, Invite list, and Raidframe arrangements
For users of Timeline Reminders (TR), we also provide Bart with information, but for exact changes/updates it's best to follow news posts from him directly.

All Spell data updated All the class and spec data has been updated. If i forgot or misplaced something, please let me know. Also tell me if things dont show up in the WCL imports when they should.

Missing features A few features are still being worked on for midnight. like group arrangements, some spell settings, class/spec assigning, custom spells and more. They will come before midnight.
What to Do on Prepatch
Update/Download your Northern Sky Raid Tools addon and begin using it for notes and in-combat reminder displays. All raiders need it installed.
For Raiders
- Customize the CD and Text display settings in the Reminders tab
- Add Personal Reminders from the Personal Reminders button
For Raid Leaders
- Share the note using the Shared Reminders button in the Reminders tab
Feedback on NSRT
- Please leave feedback in the feedbakc channel on the discord so we can polish the addon and experience for Midnight launch.
Mythic Manaforge Timers?!
Heroic timers will not be updated to work.

Probably Won't Work
The following bosses no longer have phase-based timers, making them largely useless. Timers will all be timed from pull:
- Plexus Sentinel
- Loom'ithar
- Forgeweaver Araz
- The Soul Hunters
Will Work After a Fix
Requires us to get some data and fix the phases. We will fix these ASAP. Once the NS Addon is updated, the boss timers should work again:
- Nexus-King Salhadaar
- Dimensius, the All-Devouring
Midnight Timers
Everything is expected to work as normal. We are largely unaffected by the API changes.
New WCL Features
We're also taking this opportunity to highlight the new WCL features you'll find in the sidebar:
- Copy CDs from top logs - Quickly import cooldown usage from top-performing players
- Analyze your raid's CD consistency - See if players are using their cooldowns at the assigned times
- Evaluate assignment adherence - Check if people cast their CDs on the assigned timers
