Introduction
Farming Battered Hilt in the Pit of Sauron on Heroic. It also drops from The Forge of Souls or Halls of Reflection, but these are significantly slower to farm. Any of the elite mobs inside the dungeon has a low chance to drop them.
Steps
- Enter the Pit of Sauron dungeon.
- Make a large circle killing all elite mobs.
- Leave the dungeon, reset, and repeat the process.
The Alliance version of the Battered Hilt is often worth a little bit more. This guide tracks the Alliance price of the Battered Hilt. The guide assumes you have multiple alts; otherwise, you'll hit the instance lockout 15 minutes in. Note that you should never kill any bosses on Heroic, or the dungeon will lock to that for the rest of the daily reset.
