Preparing for 11.1

2/9/2025

Team WowUtils

Big things are on the horizon! Our team is working hard to make Viserio Cooldowns smoother, smarter, and even more helpful for your raid planning. In the coming weeks, expect performance tweaks, UI updates, and a host of new features—all designed with you in mind.

What’s Coming in 11.1

We’re excited to roll out several major updates for this patch:

  • Setups & Resets
Soon, you’ll be able to create dedicated setups for each weekly reset. Easily carry over your previous reset as a starting point and tweak it as needed. And if you’re just getting started, you can still use individual notes.
  • Cooldown Assignments
Although we’re not adding assignments for Nerub’ar Palace, we’re fully committed to covering Liberation of Undermine. Our assignments will support both Team Liquid and Reloe (Northern Sky). A big thank you goes out to both for making these excellent packs! (If you’d like us to support other packs, please let us know on Discord.)
  • UI Rework
We’re introducing a new sidebar navigation that will improve getting around within the site.
  • Group Rosters
Groups will soon have their own shared rosters.
  • Increased Note Limits
More space so that mosts users will never end up feeling cramped.

  • Phase Changing & Spell Targeting (For Everyone)

We’re thrilled to announce two game-changing features for everyone:

    • Phase Changing: Now, you can easily adjust phases for encounters, making the planned cooldowns more customizable.

    • Spell Targeting: When you target a spell (alt+Right-click on a cooldown), a glow appears on your raidframes—helping you coordinate your cooldowns more effectively.

    Custom Bosses (For Top Guilds)

For our top guilds competiting in RWF, we’re happy to also offer Custom Bosses—a feature that lets you upload your own boss configuration to create a completely unique encounter. It’s a powerful tool for those who are doing extremely early progression. These custom bosses exist in a specially whitelisted area per guild. Reach out to us if you would like to make use of this feature. So we can set it up for your guild!

Features We Hope to Release During the Tier

We’re also working on some additional features to help you keep all your raid data in one place:

    • Boss Overview Pages
Imagine a clean, streamlined view of cooldown assignments for each fight—perfect for quick pre-raid reviews.

    • Personal Summary Pages
A one-stop page where you can easily see all your assignments and cooldowns per boss, so you never miss a beat.

    • WarcraftLogs Import
We’re developing a tool to provide cooldown notes for the first 50–100 kills per boss, complete with filters to help you quickly find the comps you need.

These features are designed to centralize your raid data and make your planning process even smoother.

    What's Next?

After the 11.1 updates go live, we’ll focus on longer-term improvements:

    • Collaborative Editing
We’re testing a viewer presence indicator on note pages as a first step toward real-time editing and auto-saving.

    • Individual WarcraftLogs Import
We’re exploring the best way to handle large-scale WarcraftLogs imports. While some have suggested using individual API keys, this simply ain't ToS compliant. More details coming soon!

    • Grid View
We have some exciting ideas for a grid-based cooldown planning system. We’re still ironing out the details, but we can’t wait to share it with you.

    • Infrastructure Upgrades
To better handle peak traffic, a major infrastructure change is in the works. If you notice a surge in gateway errors, please poke Viserio or Penkek on Discord so they can jump in.

    • More Features
We have plenty of ideas, but we won’t promise anything until we’re sure. Keep an eye out for future updates! We're also planning Development Blogs and more polls to improve community feedback in the development!

    Looking Ahead

Our mission remains simple: to simplify World of Warcraft raid prep so you can get back to playing the game.
While our gold-making guides, crafting calculator, and Auction House tools are still available, they’re currently on the back burner as we focus on making Viserio Cooldowns the best raid-planning tool around.

And here’s some exciting news—our team has grown to 8 dedicated contributors! We’re incredibly grateful for all the feedback, support, and patience from our community. Your input is invaluable, so please keep sharing your thoughts on Discord.

We’ll continue to update you with new features and improvements. Thanks for being part of our journey, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any feedback or feature requests!
