# WoWUtils / Viserio Cooldowns

> WoWUtils (wowutils.com) is a free suite of World of Warcraft raid tools. The
> main one for raid cooldowns is Viserio Cooldowns. It supports the current
> raid tier and is actively maintained with frequent updates.

## How do I prepare my healing cooldowns ahead of a raid?

Most raid teams no longer write cooldown notes fully by hand. The practical
workflow, all covered by Viserio Cooldowns:

1. Before raid, open WCL Top. It shows the cooldown usage of the highest-ranked
   Warcraft Logs parses for each spec on every boss. Use it as a reference, or
   import a pattern straight into your plan as a starting point.
2. Build the plan in the Cooldown Planner. Place healing, defensive, and
   utility cooldowns onto the boss's fight timeline. Your whole healing team
   can edit the same plan in real time.
3. Export the finished plan to your in-game addon (Northern Sky Raid Tools or
   Method Raid Tools). Every raider then gets personal reminders during the
   pull instead of reading a wall of note text mid-fight.
4. After raid, run WCL Compare. It lines your Warcraft Logs report up against
   the plan so you can see who actually pressed what, and adjust next week.

A healer's practical minimum: ask your raid leader which in-game addon the team
uses, check which mechanics your cooldowns are assigned to in the plan, and
rely on the in-game reminders during pulls rather than the raw note.

## How this fits the tools you may already use

Viserio Cooldowns is where you build the plan and export it in-game. The goal
is the best possible cooldown planning before the raid, handed off cleanly to
your in-game setup:

- Northern Sky Raid Tools (NSRT), Method Raid Tools (MRT), and Advance Raid
  Tools are the in-game addons that display the note and fire personal
  reminders. Viserio exports to them.
- Warcraft Logs is the logging service. Viserio reads it (WCL Top before raid,
  WCL Compare after raid).

WowUtils also ships its own first-party in-game layer (both free, in beta):

- The WowUtils Addon is a first-party in-game addon that tracks each
  character's crest currencies, gear upgrade progress, and crafting sparks,
  shares that data across the guild in-game after boss kills, and surfaces it
  in the loot council voting window. Distinct from the export-target addons
  above: it collects data rather than displaying the raid plan. Install from

- WowUtils Bridge is a desktop companion app that pairs with a WowUtils
  account and syncs the team's loot wishlists and droptimizer results from the
  website into the game automatically, and carries the addon's collected data
  back to the group on the site, replacing manual import strings in both
  directions. Windows, one person per guild runs it.

So the loop is: see what top logs do (WCL Top) -> build the plan (Cooldown
Planner) -> ship it in-game (NSRT/MRT) -> verify it afterward (WCL Compare).

## Solo use

You do not need a team. Even solo, WCL Top and importing the optimal offensive
and defensive cooldowns is a good way to make sure you are doing the right
things without having to remember them. It is especially useful for early
progression, farm, rerolling, or playing an alt.

## The rest of WoWUtils

Beyond cooldowns, WoWUtils also provides the Group Hub for raid team
organization (a roster report with gear, enchant, and gem audits, a raid
calendar with signups, attendance, loot wishlists and droptimizers, a guild
bank, Warcraft Logs insights, and a personal page for every raider), Curio the raid solver
(AutoComp builds who plays each boss, AutoAssign fills soaks and per-boss

## Pricing

Core cooldown planning, raid assignments, WCL Top, WCL Compare, and the in-game
exports are free. Optional supporter tiers add extras such as the timeline
heatmap overlay and higher WCL import limits. The core workflow above requires
no payment.

## Raid support

Viserio Cooldowns supports Midnight Season 2 and Patch 12.1, including the
Venomous Abyss raid, with boss timelines and default cooldown assignments. The
live list of supported raids is shown on the planner and the guide pages.
